2026 1 April – 30 September 2026
The second half of Year 1: the climate-resilient Black Soldier Fly composting structure completed, sanitation facilities built on site, and community education under way.
2026 1 September 2025 – 31 March 2026
The first half of Year 1: the permanent facility designed and construction prepared, a collection vehicle bought, new clients signed, community education launched, and the pilot composting toilet in design.

Building Humanity is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that connects architects, engineers and volunteers with communities in need, providing safe places for living and learning to help break the cycle of poverty. Founded in 2009 after a summer in Romania, we have since worked in India, Thailand, Ghana, Peru, Tanzania, Louisiana, Kenya and Madagascar. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
